Leadership Expeditions Guide
Naturalist, Mountaineer, PADI Divemaster, NACD Cave diver, and Outdoor Photographer. He has a Degree in Eco-tourism and studied in Andrés Bello University. He holds a "Wilderness First Responder" (WFR) license certified by NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School).
Willie has successfully climbed mountains in Chile, Bolivia and Argentina, including the highest summit of America, Aconcagua (22,851 ft.high). He has been part of the VERTICAL team since 2004, working on Coaching, Leadership, Teamwork and Environmental Educational programs, for Chilean and international companies and universities. He has been a Guide in Leadership Expeditions from Wharton Business School (Leadership Ventures Expeditions) in Antarctica, Patagonia and Atacama since 2006. He has also worked on Leadership programs with McColl School of Business since 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina and in their annual trip to Chile.
From 2010 to 2012 he worked on a High Altitude Archaeological Project, documenting through digital video and photography, Inca ritual sites in the north of Chile; this in partnership with the Chilean Pre-Columbian Museum. From 2011 to 2013 he worked as Explorations Manager for the Explora Hotels in Torres del Paine National Park, Easter Island and also in the Atacama Desert. He was also in charge of the Uyuni salt flats Nomadic journeys developed in Bolivia.
In 2014, he was a Guide and Basecamp Manager for the Everest expedition in Nepal. In 2015, he also started to work as a Mountain Guide for ANTARCTICA XXI company, living on a semi-Icebreaker ship for the summer season, with daily landings to the Antarctic peninsula.
